Milwaukee Car Crash Causes Death of One Person and Injuries for Teens with Stolen Car
An accident involving a stolen car on Milwaukee’s northside left one individual dead and two others critically hurt. Emergency crews initially responded to a call about three people being trapped inside a vehicle on West Olive Street and North 19.
According to Milwaukee police, a Honda CRV was travelling at a high rate of speed along West Olive Street when it attempted to pass a Honda Crossover also travelling in the same direction.
The CRV ultimately hit the Crossover and lost control and the vehicle collided with a tree. The driver of the CRV was not able to be resuscitated by paramedics and she was identified shortly after. The two passengers in the CRV, aged 15 and 16 years old, also suffered critical injuries in the crash. The passengers inside the Crossover were not hurt.
According to police, the Honda CRV was a stolen vehicle used in an armed robbery the week before and a firearm was located inside the vehicle.
