63-year-old Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Remote Road Outside of Milwaukee
County Sheriff’s reported that a 63-year-old Milwaukee area man was killed in a crash involving a small SUV and a motorcycle.
Motorcycle accident witnesses reported that the Harley motorcycle rider was traveling down Highway 151 in the right lane. As the driver of the small SUV entered the highway the motorcycle rider moved from the right lane to the left lane to let the car merge onto the highway. The driver of the SUV then suddenly moved over into the left lane in front of the path of the on-coming motorcycle.
The 63-year-old Ripon man was ejected from his motorcycle when it impacted the left front fender of the SUV. The motorcycle then hit the median curb in the middle of the road. The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The witnesses of the motorcycle accident near Milwaukee indicated that the SUV appeared to not even see the motorcycle. The Sheriff’s department is indicating that the motorcycle v. SUV accident was caused by an unsafe lane change by the SUV. They also reported that the accident ended up with a fatality because the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet.
Both the occupants of the SUV were uninjured. The name of the motorcycle rider is being held until relatives are notified.
