Wrong-Way Accident Injures Drivers, Passengers in Milwaukee, WI
There was a fatal car accident in Milwaukee WI which happened just before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13th. The accident occurred near Teutonia and Concordia.
According to police, a car driven by an as-yet unidentified man was seen driving at very high speeds northbound in the southbound lane of Teutonia (i.e. going the wrong way) when it crashed into a southbound vehicle. The driver, who was 50, died as a result of the crash.
The southbound vehicle which collided with the wrong-way driver was being driven by a 25-year-old man from Milwaukee. In the car with the man was a 39-year old woman from Milwaukee and a 35-year-old woman from Chicago. All were injured, but none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
For now, police are conducting a thorough investigation of the wreck. However, they still do not know whether it was alcohol, confusion, or another motivation which made the 50-year-old man drive the wrong way at high speeds on Teutonia, thus causing the collision.
