SUV accident Milwaukee County

Boy Dies After Being Hit By SUV in Milwaukee County

The greater-Milwaukee WI community is still attempting to deal with the aftermath of a tragic accident which occurred on Monday night in Wauwatosa. The accident took the life of an area 11-year-old boy who had been skateboarding.

According to Police, 11-year-old Quinn Richardson was riding a skateboard eastbound along the south side of North Avenue when he lost control and fell into the westbound lanes of traffic on North Avenue. Unfortunately, he was then struck by an SUV traveling westbound on North Avenue.

“The driver

[of the SUV] stopped immediately at the scene,” said Lt. Brian Zalewski of the Wauwatosa Police Department. “There’s nothing to indicate it was anything other than a terrible accident.” Richardson was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he was later pronounced dead. The victim’s parents were with him at the hospital.

Initially, there is no indication that any criminal charges will be filed against the as-yet identified SUV driver, as they seem to have been traveling at a safe speed. However, a further investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
